The study programme is open for students having bachelor's degrees in Economics or Business. The most important consideration for applicants is an interest in continued study and intensive research in some area of economics with the minimum of prerequisites for admission to the programme. A strong background in economics and quantitative methods and a good command of both written and spoken English are the most important prerequisites for applicants.
Graduates are well-prepared for careers in diverse fields such as financial institutions, consulting, governmental agencies, international organizations, and academia; and for national and international positions in the civil service sector, banking, research institutes and international development institutions. They also have good career prospects as managers in business and agribusiness. Additionally, the international perspective embedded in the curriculum positions graduates for success in global markets.
