Wildlife and Livestock Production, Management and Conservation

The study programme offers bachelor graduates (preferably with a strong background in animal sciences) further education in the field of biodiversity conservation and management of wild animals in the tropics and subtropics. Studies focus on improving theoretical knowledge in the main educational areas, as well as on practical farm management, ranching, management of development projects oriented to biodiversity conservation, management of wild animals and sustainable use of natural resources in tropics and subtropics.

Graduate profile

Graduates have a critical awareness of the problems relating to their area of study and interactions with other areas, such as zoology, physiology, genetics and ethology. They have advanced knowledge of the principles of animal science as well as conservation. They acquire professional skills in the field of wildlife management in tropical and subtropical areas and systems support. They are able to make decisions as heads of creative teams at the intermediate and top management levels.

Admission requirements

Admission procedure: 1. Selection of applicants based on submitted documents (annotation (in English) of the Bachelor thesis (or similar written output), the results of previously completed studies (or at least results of the last finished year; in the form of a statement of results) and the experience and prerequisites for the study contained in the CV and the letter of motivation).
Part of the 1st round is the Scio GAP online test in English focused on a general overview of the applicant - organized in cooperation with the Scio company.
2. Interview in English focused on the professional subject area according to the selected field of study.

Required documents: Successfully completed Bachelor (undergraduate) education, the certificate of which (either the original or its verified copy) will be required from the candidates when enrolling in their study, annotation of the Bachelor thesis (or similar written output), CV and a letter of motivation
