The study program offers comprehensive bachelor's education in the field of forestry, environment, and sustainable use of natural resources. It is focused on the internationalization of education and is intended for both Czech and foreign students. Students will gain theoretical and practical knowledge about the functioning of forest and non-forest ecosystems, bioeconomics, and sustainable management of natural resources. The program also includes economic, legal, and marketing aspects of the use of nature. Emphasis is also placed on the development of soft skills (communication, teamwork, working with information) and on working with modern technologies such as GIS, remote sensing, AI, and data analysis. The teaching reflects current topics, such as climate change, and prepares graduates for practical application and further study.
Graduates of the bachelor's program Sustainable Forestry and Natural Resource Management receive the academic degree Bc. After that, they can apply for a follow-up master's program (Forest Science in Global Change) or pursue a career in practice, where they apply their skills in developing countries or within EU institutions, in international relations, addressing the global perspective on forests and forestry in Europe and the world, and in other areas.
Admission procedure: An interview in English on the topic of Biology
Required documents: Successfully completed secondary education concluded with a school-leaving examination, the certificate of which (either the original or its verified copy) will be required from the candidates when enrolling in their study.
