Admissions

What do you need to do to apply?

Here´s a step-by-step guide to the application process for undergraduate and graduate programmes at CZU.

Choose your study programme
We offer more than 170 study programmes focused on economics and management, food processing, engineering, agriculture, forestry and natural sciences at our 6 faculties and 1 institute.
Check specific deadlines and entry requirements
The first round of applications goes from September to December. The second round is then from January to March. Each faculty can have specific application deadlines, entry requirements and entrance examinations.
Submit your online application
At CZU, the application can be submitted only electronically through the University Information System. The admission fee is CZK 750 and is paid by bank transfer or card. The admission fee is non-refundable. The following steps will be communicated to you through the online application system and by a letter or email from the relevant faculty Student Affairs Office.
Take the entrance exams/admission interview
The entrance exams may be different for each faculty, but also for various study programmes. You can expect a test or an online interview. Details about the entrance exams to your selected study programme can be found on the individual programmes page.
Wait for the notification of acceptance
After the entrance exams, CZU selects the prospective students and sends them an announcement (usually either in January or then by the end of June). Should you be accepted, CZU will send you an official letter of admission.
Prepare documents for recognition
You need to prove that you have completed your previous level of study (e.g. if you are applying for a bachelor´s study programme, you need to present your certificate of graduation from your secondary school and have it recognised by the CZU recognition authority).
Apply for a visa and arrange your proof of accommodation
If you are a non-EU citizen, you may need to apply for a visa or residence permit to study in the Czech Republic. We highly recommend starting your visa application process as soon as you obtain the official acceptance letter and arrange proof of accommodation (the whole visa process can take up to 60 days).
Start arranging your arrival and stay
Keep in touch with your faculty coordinator regarding the practical details for your arrival at CZU. You can apply for accommodation at the CZU student residence halls.
Welcome to CZU!
We recommend arriving at CZU for the Welcome Week at the start of each academic year, usually at the end of September. Besides several social and cultural activities, you will be enrolled to your courses, get your guide for new students and other useful information. You will be ready to enjoy your studies at CZU.
