Smart Sustainable Solutions is an interdisciplinary Master’s programme that addresses modern environmental challenges in a global context. Guided by ECOLUTION principles - interdisciplinary collaboration, real-world application, and continuous innovation - it brings together universities, companies, and communities. Students tackle hands-on projects, leveraging cutting-edge research and digital tools to create data-driven strategies for a more resilient future.
Smart Sustainability Solutions is a blended-learning programme, with most lessons delivered online, allowing an international team of educators to share their expertise. Students attend two short, in-person blocks - one at IHU Thessaloniki and one at FZP CZU, each lasting two weeks. An obligatory industrial practice takes place between the first and second year, providing hands-on experience. The Master’s thesis is developed in close collaboration with industry and supervised by academic institutions, ensuring a practical and well-supported research experience.

They lead or advise on sustainability projects—ranging from smart city development to climate adaptation—driving practical, large-scale impact worldwide.
