SMOWL Proctoring in Moodle

The online admission test is conducted on the Moodle platform (e-prijimacky.czu.cz) using the SMOWL proctoring application.

SMOWL ensures fairness and integrity during remote exams by monitoring your environment through your webcam, microphone, and digital activity. This tool verifies your identity and detects irregular behavior, allowing you to take secure and credible exams from any location.

To comply with the admission requirements, you must:

  • Be alone in the room.
  • Stay within the camera’s view.
  • Avoid using any electronic devices (except the one for the test), books, notes, or similar materials.
  • Remain within the test browser and avoid switching to other applications or web pages.

SMOWL verifies your identity by matching you as you appear on the webcam with the photo and ID provided within the registration. Any violations may result in your test being invalidated.

To ensure everything works properly, take the Mockup test first. After clicking on the Mockup test, you will be prompted to register with SMOWL. Within registration you will need to capture a photo of yourself and your ID. The registration dialog will also guide you through downloading and installing Smowl CM. Some additional details on registration are available here.

If you encounter issues during registration, installation, or test execution, visit the SMOWL support page for troubleshooting or to chat with the support team.

Most users find the SMOWL setup process smooth and straightforward.
